Church Pulpit

When my wife loses sight of me on our travels, she knows that she’ll find me in the nearest church; not praying but sketching. This painting is of the pulpit in All Souls' Church, Halifax, Yorkshire.  It represents a lifetime of preaching to the unconvertable. What most people are after is an exact depiction, as against a different way of seeing. They just can't get their head around brevity and that which is divergent to the norm.
