Backyard Hopetown

On our first voyage to the Caribbean, we spent a year sailing the Bahamas, enroute to the United States. My work was in transition and my techniques changed to capture new subjects. During that period, we spent two months anchored at Little Harbour in the Abaco Islands while looking after the house and studio of the sculptor Randolph Johnson. It was there that my work began to embrace the figurative and sculpture.
