At a Fleeting Glance

All my best paintings come about through seeing my model at a fleeting glance as she turns from one position to the next. To capture that glance on paper I work at the speed of light. Every line and every brush stroke count. There’s no time to define details. The model’s toes are a suggestion of reality. There’s no need to count if they are all there: they are there!
